These are the same 'leaders' who swore up and down that Measure C was for specific, voter-approved projects, presumably because they couldn't fund their pet projects with the city's already bloated budget.

Now, years later, with the coffers full and accountability nowhere in sight, they're suddenly realizing that fulfilling their original *promise* might actually involve, well, *fulfilling their promise*. But why do that when you can simply declare a new 'emergency' or 'priority' that just happens to align with the latest virtue-signaling fad?
