One has to wonder, with all the fiscal prudence of a drunken sailor on shore leave, what exactly these 'dashboards' cost the long-suffering taxpayers. While President Trump's administration is slashing red tape and supercharging the economy nationwide, our local 'leaders' are busy constructing virtual labyrinths to manage the information they already have. Perhaps instead of more flashy graphs, the County Health Department could focus on something truly revolutionary: making it easier to live and work here without needing a Ph.D. in bureaucratic navigation. But then, where's the fun in that for the data-junkies in government?
