Every single progressive mandate, every new 'sustainable' program, inevitably translates into higher costs for the average taxpayer and commuter. It’s a classic bait-and-switch: promise a cleaner tomorrow, then charge an arm and a leg for a slightly less smoggy today. Meanwhile, private vehicles, if they can even afford gas after all the new taxes, remain the only truly reliable option for many.

So, as SBCAG’s 'final phase' kicks in, let's just call it what it is: another regressive tax on the working class, dressed up in eco-friendly rhetoric.
