The horror! The humanity! President Trump’s White House, in a move that can only be described as fiscally responsible, has evidently pulled the plug on 'billions worth of California research grants' by simply identifying a few key buzzwords. Imagine that – a federal government actually looking at what it's funding and saying, 'Is this actually useful, or is it just more navel-gazing for the progressive professoriate?' Shocking, we know, given the last administration’s open wallet for anything that whispered 'equity' or 'climate change.'

One can almost hear the wails from tenured radicals currently scrambling to re-title their 'Effectiveness of Pronoun Usage in Decolonizing Botanical Gardens' studies. The 'establishment' media, of course, frames this as an attack on 'science,' when in reality, it's an attack on frivolous spending disguised as science.
