This isn't about helping a struggling mom-and-pop farm; it's about signaling to the connected and the politically pliable that the rules only apply if you don't know who to call. Perhaps the Board feels collecting taxes from a business that offers 'farmstays' is just too un-woke, or maybe it’s a quiet nod to the idea that some residents are simply more 'equal' than others when it comes to fiscal responsibility.
