SHERIFF NABS PREDATOR: MEANWHILE, SACRAMENTO SLEEPS

While local law enforcement actually does its job, our 'esteemed' state lawmakers remain more concerned with pronoun legislation than protecting California's children.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's detectives recently did something remarkably old-fashioned yet increasingly rare in California: they arrested a criminal. An Edhat blurb, surprisingly sober for once, detailed the apprehension of a Santa Maria man accused of online illicit activities. It seems while Sacramento’s progressive intelligentsia are busy legislating new ways to confuse children about basic biology, our local deputies are out there, you know, protecting them from actual threats.

One has to wonder if this kind of actual, you know, *policing* is still allowed under the latest state guidelines, or if the Sheriff’s department just hasn’t received the memo that real law enforcement is now considered 'problematic.' Perhaps the perp was simply 'misunderstood' and needed 'restorative justice' rather than those pesky handcuffs. Our state's D.A.s, who seem to prefer releasing criminals back onto the streets with a pat on the head and a brochure for a job training program, must be positively aghast at such decisive action.

It’s a stark reminder that while local heroes are fighting genuine evil, the self-congratulatory chatter from our state capitol continues to focus on abstract grievances and virtue-signaling grandstanding, totally disconnected from the practical realities faced by everyday citizens. Good on the Sheriff for ignoring the siren song of progressive leniency and actually getting bad guys off the street. Maybe if state leaders spent less time dictating social engineering experiments to schools and more time funding effective law enforcement, stories like this would be less remarkable and more the daily norm.
