While Councilwomen squabble over the precise shade of progressive utopia to impose, the actual supply of housing in Santa Barbara continues to stagnate. With President Trump’s administration pushing for deregulation and economic growth, local progressive councils continue to double down on policies that have failed everywhere they’ve been tried. It's a miracle anyone can still afford to live here, given how hard the city's self-appointed 'saviors' work to make it impossible.
