SAN MARCOS HIGH EMBRACES WOKE MEDICINE: BRING ON THE COUCHES!

Santa Barbara Unified School District, fresh off another semester of academic rigor (we assume, somewhere), is reportedly breaking ground on a grand new 'Health Careers and Wellness Facilities' at San Marcos High. KEYT NewsChannel 3-12, ever diligent in their role as municipal stenographers, dutifully informs us this will replace those old 'portable classrooms.' Apparently, the portable classrooms weren't quite conducive to the latest advancements in group therapy and interpretive dance as a 'wellness strategy.'

One can only imagine the curriculum. Will students be learning how to properly code an insurance claim for an emotional support peacock? Or perhaps they’ll master the art of diagnosing systemic oppression during a 'wellness check'? With 'health careers' thrown in, one can envision future generations of Santa Barbara's youth graduating with degrees in 'empathy studies' and 'trauma-informed finger-painting,' ready to revolutionize the healthcare system by ensuring everyone feels seen, heard, and adequately compensated for their feelings.

Meanwhile, the actual nuts and bolts of traditional health — you know, like anatomy, physiology, and how to *actually* fix a broken bone — will likely remain the purview of those less enlightened institutions. But hey, at least our kids will be able to tell you exactly how they feel about their C-minus in 'Environmental Justice Poetry,' and they'll have a brand-new, taxpayer-funded facility in which to do it. Just don't ask them to calculate the cost of their tuition.

This isn't about education; it's about conditioning. Another generation taught that feelings are facts, and that the proper response to a challenging world is more 'wellness' and less resilience. As long as the bond measures pass and the progressive narratives are reinforced, our elected officials can sleep soundly, knowing they’ve built a strong foundation… for future therapists.
