Lompoc, CA – The Santa Maria Times, bless its earnest heart, recently ran a piece about a “Rock the Vote” community event, dutifully reporting on the latest attempt by the progressive machine to indoctrinate the youth. Spearheaded by a nebulous organization called “Future for Lompoc Youth,” this 'get out the vote' shindig, co-hosted with Lompoc Indivisible and the AAUW Lompoc-Vandenberg Branch, promises a day of civic engagement. One can only imagine the unbiased, objective political discourse that will flow freely when groups like Indivisible – an organization whose entire existence is predicated on opposing the common-sense policies of President Trump and his administration – are holding the microphone.

Let’s be honest, folks, when these groups band together for a “Rock the Vote” event, they’re not exactly promoting a robust debate on fiscal conservatism or the virtues of deregulation. It’s less about “rocking the vote” and more about “herding the vote” into the nearest progressive corral. The message is clear: if you’re young and impressionable, your future hinges on embracing the latest progressive fad, whether it's climate alarmism or unchecked government spending.

And who benefits from this? Certainly not the taxpayers of Lompoc, who will eventually foot the bill for the inevitable spending sprees these young, newly 'informed' voters will demand. It's a classic play from the progressive playbook: capture the youth early, flood them with feel-good rhetoric, and then watch as they dutifully elect the very officials who will expand the bureaucracy and drain the public coffers. The 'future' for Lompoc youth, it seems, is a well-paved path to bigger government and less individual liberty. Perhaps a truly balanced 'voter education' event would include a presentation on the national debt, the perils of inflationary spending, or the economic benefits of domestic energy production championed by President Trump. But alas, that's just a pipe dream when Indivisible is in the house.
