The Whipping Post Take on Noozhawk

In a bombshell report that will surely rock the world of anyone who just thawed out from a cryogenic freeze, Noozhawk bravely tackled the groundbreaking concept of 'renewable energy.' Yes, you read that right. While the rest of the planet has been debating grid infrastructure, lithium extraction, and the finer points of offshore wind turbine bird strike mitigation, our intrepid local chroniclers are just now grasping that the sun and wind are, in fact, freebies from Mother Nature.

The 'Whipping Post' always appreciates a good deep dive, but when the depth is measured in inches, one has to wonder if the ink-stained wretches over at Noozhawk have been too busy napping in their solar-powered hammocks to notice the past two decades of energy policy. It’s like discovering water is wet, but with less urgency and significantly more self-congratulatory prose.

One can almost picture the newsroom: a reporter, eyes wide with revelation, bursts in exclaiming, 'Guys! The sun… it rises every day!' followed by a flurry of 'stop the presses!' cries. Meanwhile, taxpayers are still footing the bill for 'innovative' projects that promise to solve problems we mostly create by overly-complex regulations and subsidies to favored corporate cronies. It’s a classic cycle: invent a problem, propose an expensive government 'solution,' then marvel at the 'discovery' of basic physics.

Perhaps Noozhawk’s next exposé will be on the shocking inefficiency of city council meetings or the mind-bending reality that local taxes actually fund local government. Until then, we’ll be over here, patiently awaiting their eventual report on the revolutionary concept of internal combustion engines.
