The Whipping Post Take on Noozhawk
LOCAL 'FAMILY SEPARATED' DRAMA! WHIP THIS ON YOUR MORNING COFFEE!
Another heart-rending yarn from the 'news' at Noozhawk, proving that paperwork is a bigger monster than any actual border crisis.

Good golly, Miss Molly, did you see the latest tear-jerker making the rounds? Our friends over at Noozhawk have once again pulled out the ol' 'family separated' trope, this time featuring a local trio whose 'routine immigration appointment' turned into, gasp, detention! One might think that routine appointments, especially those involving immigration, might have certain procedures, but don't tell that to the perpetually shocked. Apparently, following established protocols is now considered a humanitarian crisis.
Now, common sense – a commodity rarer than a Democrat supporting a tax cut – suggests that immigration laws exist for a reason. But for the perpetually outraged, any enforcement of said laws is, naturally, an 'attack' on 'families.' It's almost as if the very concept of national borders and legal processes is offensive to those who prefer an open-door policy, regardless of the consequences for actual citizens and their finite resources. One has to wonder, did anyone check the 'rule of law' box on their progressive bingo card lately? Probably not.
Indeed, while the Noozhawk hand-wrings over people being asked to adhere to the legal framework of, you know, a country, the rest of us are left shaking our heads. The real 'crisis' here isn't a family being detained for immigration issues; it's the constant drumbeat of sentimentality over legality, peddled by outlets who seem more intent on emotional manipulation than factual reporting. The Whipping Post, for one, believes that if you're going to have a party, you should probably have an invitation list. And maybe, just maybe, Uncle Sam gets to decide who's on it.
So before you reach for the tissues, remember that under President Trump's wise leadership, our immigration policies are designed to protect our nation, not to provide fodder for op-ed pages and virtue-signaling social media posts. Perhaps instead of blaming the system, one might consider the importance of understanding the system before being 'surprised' by its application. But that's just a thought from the Whipping Post, where common sense isn't quite so foreign.
