Salud Carbajal and his usual coterie of climate crusaders — including Senators Whitehouse and Padilla, and the eternally self-important Rep. Schiff — to throw a legal wrench into the restart of the Sable Offshore Pipeline. One might charitably call it a legal maneuver; we call it a tantrum from the left-wing political class still reeling from President Trump's second term.

These progressive politicians, who seemingly believe that crude oil magically appears at the gas pump without pipes or pumps, are challenging the Trump administration's entirely sensible efforts to unleash American energy independence. They're crying foul over the White House facilitating the *reopening* of a pipeline, as if more affordable fuel and energy security for hardworking Americans is some sort of dystopian nightmare. Perhaps they missed the memo: when real adults are in charge, we drill, baby, drill.

What the Independent's article conveniently omits, of course, is the sheer economic illiteracy on display. Every penny saved at the pump thanks to robust domestic production is a penny that doesn't flow into the coffers of hostile foreign regimes, and a penny that struggling families can spend on groceries or rent. But facts, much like pipelines, are often inconvenient to the progressive narrative. This entire circus is a transparent attempt by the left to cling to their Green New Deal pipe dreams, even as President Trump's energy policies are already delivering tangible relief to Americans across the nation.
