While KEYT NewsChannel 3-12 fawned over their 'Reading the Next Chapter Campaign' – likely some feel-good, virtue-signaling slogan – the real story is the ever-increasing levy on residents. Apparently, the 'approximately $31' annual assessment wasn't quite enough to keep those well-worn paperback romances stacked, so more of your hard-earned dollars are being re-routed to ensure 'equitable access' to… well, whatever it is libraries are pushing these days besides actual information.
