ELECTION INTEGRITY?: LEFTIES SUDDENLY INTERESTED IN BALLOT DROP-BOXES, FINDS WHIPPING POSTThe Ballot
Santa Barbara Independent · The Whipping Post · NO.740 · PANEL 2/6 · SB-64N

It seems a new day has dawned in Santa Barbara, as the local cheerleaders at the Santa Barbara Independent have suddenly discovered the thrilling, heretofore ignored topic of… ballot drop boxes. Yes, the very same mechanisms that, for years, have been presented by the establishment media as sacrosanct pillars of democracy, beyond reproach or question, are now apparently the subject of great concern when they're not precisely where some activists demand them to be. One can almost hear the crickets chirping from the same corners when actual election integrity measures like voter ID were proposed. Funny how that works.

The Independent's hand-wringing op-ed begs the Registrar of Voters, Joe Holland, to restore 'official boxes' in specific neighborhoods by an arbitrary date. It’s almost as if the left-leaning politicos realize that getting ballots into the hands of certain demographics might be slightly less convenient if they have to travel more than two blocks. The implication, of course, is that without these specific boxes, democracy itself will crumble, leaving the progressive agenda in tatters and forcing people to actually *vote in person* or, heaven forbid, *use a stamp*.

Perhaps the real story here isn't the mysterious disappearance of a metal box, but the sudden, selective outrage over logistical issues that have been conveniently ignored when they didn't directly benefit one political faction. Could it be that the left's fervent belief in 'convenience voting' only extends as far as it ensures a pre-ordained outcome? This sudden interest in drop box geography looks suspiciously like a frantic hunt for every last vote to prop up a floundering agenda, masquerading as a high-minded defense of voting rights. Meanwhile, actual solutions that don't involve questionable ballot collection methods continue to be ignored, proving yet again that for some, the only 'fair' election is one they win.
