Every time the Supervisors rubber-stamp another 'housing registry' or 'rent stabilization' scheme, they're not creating a single new unit. Instead, they're tightening the noose on property owners and driving away the very developers who might actually build something. Our elected officials, seemingly allergic to fiscal sense, mistake endless regulation for genuine problem-solving.
