CALIFORNIA DECLARES WAR ON WIND...AND D.C.! SACRAMENTO SADDLES UP FOR SUE-STORM!
Fresh off scaring away essential American energy production for fun, California's perpetually-suited lawyers are now aiming their taxpayer-funded legal bazookas at the Trump administration.

It seems California’s unelected deep state, with Sacramento's blessing, has found a new windmill to tilt at – ironically, in defense of actual windmills. The Santa Maria Times reports that the State of California, in its infinite wisdom and bottomless legal budget, is gearing up to sue President Trump's administration because, gasp, a proposed offshore wind project off the Central Coast was, shall we say, *un-proposed*. Apparently, in the Golden State, freedom of contract and the ability of two parties to reach an agreement is only permissible if it aligns with the state’s preferred shade of green.
One might think that California’s leadership would be thrilled to see fewer massive, ecologically questionable wind turbines cluttering its pristine coastline, especially with our grid stability already resembling a toddler on a sugar high. But no, the consistent left-wing playbook is to demand federal help until they get it, then sue the feds when they provide the *wrong kind* of help, or when they dare to exercise their own administrative discretion. It's almost as if the bureaucracy has decided it knows better than the people, the market, and even the Commander-in-Chief.
The real story here, of course, isn't about saving the planet; it's about control and campaign donations. Who stood to gain from that original wind proposal? Who's now crying into their sustainably-sourced kale smoothies because a sweetheart deal, likely inked with promises of future political favors, went south? While the state's legal eagles preen and prepare to waste untold millions of our dollars on this ideological crusade, working Californians are still wondering why their power bills are higher than their rent. Perhaps California should focus on keeping critical, affordable energy flowing rather than engaging in performative litigation against a common-sense decision from Washington.
