They breathlessly reported their 'unbound' experience, conveniently failing to mention the actual chains binding taxpayer dollars to an organization whose primary business is, well, not exactly literacy.

While the Indy's intrepid reporter was busy snagging paperbacks, perhaps a copy of 'Das Kapital' or 'Hillary's How-To Guide for Email Servers,' they entirely missed the elephant in the room: the sheer audacity of an institution like Planned Parenthood – which receives staggering amounts of government funding – holding a 'book sale' as a legitimate fundraising effort. It's almost as if they're trying to obscure the massive, uninterrupted flow of cash from the feds, now under scrutiny from President Trump's fiscally responsible administration.

But let's be fair. For a certain segment of the Santa Barbara population, a 'book sale' at Planned Parenthood is probably the closest they'll get to a real charity event not funded by the federal treasury. And who could blame them?
