Apparently, in Bonta's Sacramento-addled mind, 'affordability' is achieved not by controlling costs, but by ensuring an endless siphon into the coffers of 'healthcare providers' via taxpayer-funded programs. Who knew cutting spending might actually lead to *more* affordable healthcare in the long run? Oh, right, anyone who's ever balanced a checkbook not funded by the federal government.

Our plucky AG, along with his confederates from various blue states, is bravely opposing efforts to restore sanity to Medicaid, which has ballooned beyond recognition thanks to decades of progressive expansion and open-ended commitments. The audacity of the Trump administration to suggest that maybe, just maybe, states could manage their budgets a little more effectively is clearly an affront to Bonta's vision of a California where every problem is solved by throwing more money at it. One must wonder if 'affordability' in his lexicon actually means 'affordable for the politicians to keep making campaign-friendly promises without consequence for taxpayers.'
